ASSISTANT HEADTEACHER

(Part of Excellence in Education MAT)

Salary: depending on experience, to be discussed at interview

Start date: September 2019/ January 2020

The Trustees, staff and pupils of Furness Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Assistant Headteacher to help lead Furness on its journey to becoming an outstanding school, providing clear leadership vision and ensuring a high quality education for all pupils at the school is maintained and improved.

 

The Person:

  • Will have a proven record of teaching within a diverse primary school setting.
  • Will, along with the Headteacher, organise and implement an appropriate curriculum to meet the needs, experiences and interests of the pupils.
  • Will have responsibility for a curriculum area (to be decided).
  • Will play a major role, alongside the Headteacher, in formulating the aims and objectives of the school.
  • Will have effective communication and interpersonal skills and experience.
  • Will be a strong team player and leader.
  • Expects the highest possible standards from all pupils, staff and members of the wider school community.
  • Will have a professional outlook and thrive on a challenge.
  • Is committed to and passionate about developing children’s learning.
